B.Y.O. CHEF (BEcome Your Own Chef) was established to inspire and teach individuals to be a chef in their own kitchen while providing exposure to food cultures around the world. We seek to reinvent and modernize cultural staples. Think of it as the next evolutionary step for traditional dishes. We post simple food tutorials to promote cultural diversity while encouraging viewers to taste new cultural dishes from appetizers to desserts and anything in between.

We are a Black owned family business founded by couple Obioma & Joshua Faison, Head Chef and Manager respectively. Chef Obioma is originally from Imo, Nigeria and Joshua is from Greensboro, North Carolina. Quality Engineer by training, Joshua optimizes B.Y.O. CHEF business and food processes to ensure clients receive the highest quality food on time at the best affordable price. Our talented chef strives to reinvent traditional dishes with creativity inspired by various cultures. Clients can choose to customize menus to suit their specific tastes, putting their own stamp on their event day cuisine. 

Offering delicious culinary creations, our team serves the Dallas Fort-Worth area and a range of surrounding areas, including Frisco, Aubrey, Denton, Lewisville, and Desoto, among others. With the understanding that each client and every event is special, we aim to provide a unique culinary experience cultivating an occasion with its own flavor. As well, we cater to specific dietary needs including but not limited to vegan, vegetarian, nut allergy, dairy-free, and kosher options. Due to religious beliefs we don’t work with certain seafood and pork products. Clients who choose to work with our company can expect professional service, and incredible food cooked with passion and care.
